SO MY DISTRICT LEADER...

lol i didn't know what to title this so i let my dl do it for me...

okay real talk can you believe it's may??? holy wut even happened where did the year go its like i went to bed and woke up and all the sudden it's may 2. TIME FLIES.

so anyway..... this week was good! we just keep pushing along here in danville :)

weekly highlights:

1. so we visit this little old lady every week and she made us lunch this week haha it was like the most random lunch of my life. we each had a chicken tender, a hash brown, and like five carrots hahahah oh and some strawberry jello. which in my past life i would probs not have eaten bc i dont like fruity things but i did. MY MISSION HAS CHANGED ME HAHA #blessed

2. sister peel and i went to the mall. lol it's not even a mall. there's like five stores!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but it's chill.

weekly miracles:

so we didn't teach very many lessons this week, but we did have a lot of miracles and I'll share a few.

1. so we were in covington and wanted to try this former. so we go to their house and it turns out they moved, but the new people told us they lived on the corner of a certain street. so we go to this street and there's four houses on this street. haha so.......... we decided to pray about which house was the right one and we felt prompted to try this certain house. turns out it was the right house! they weren't interested in learning more, BUT we found the right house which is a miracle. we were super grateful!

2. we met this girl at the ymca because we do service there and felt prompted to share the gospel with her. so we brought it up and soon became friends with her. well we gave her a card with our number and church address and she was like "i want to come to church! would mother's day be a good day to go or no?" and we were like "YES! that would be a great day!" hahaha we are so pumped. she is so prepared! such a miracle!!!!!

the work is kind of slow in our area right now, but it's okay. we are working hard and trying our best and that's all we can do!

this past week we tracted into a man who is baptist and he told us how above the door of his church there's a sign that you see as you're walking out that says:

YOU ARE NOW ENTERING THE MISSION FIELD.

i love that so much! that sign should be placed over each of our front doors... maybe not literally but we should have it in our minds and hearts that when we leave our homes, we are entering the mission field, whether or not we have a tag on.

this week was good! we worked hard and we are pretty tired but that's a good thing, i guess!

weekly highlights:

1. exchanges: i got to stay in danville with sister day! it was so fun. i LOVE EXCHANGES! my stls are always so great. i have loved them all. they are all such big examples to me. we had so much fun!

2. president interviews: we got to see president and sister morgan this week! i love them so much. they are my favorite! i'm going to be sad when they have to leave.

3. chill: okay so funny story. we were talking to the elders at their apartment and they decided to get on the roof and jump off. lol long story short, one of them went to the hospital to get stitches yay! hahahahahhahaa but then they brought us ice cream that night. they're so nice. hashtag dont jump off roofs.

teaching:

1. abrion: we taught her about repentance. it was so good. we went over the steps of repentance and she really liked it. we also read the bom with her this week and she liked that.

2. sherri: we read the bom :) okay this is totally working! so usually we have to bring up that it's time to read the bom, but this week, she initiated it! WUT! she told us how she didn't read but wanted to know if we were still gonna read. so we did, duh! i'm seeing her heart soften slowly, which is a miracle YAY!

we are working hard here in danville! i love being a part of this work! it changes my life everyday.

okay i am slacking and didn't know what to title this email lol sns.

okaaaayyyyy this week was supa good! i <3 danville.

highlights:

1. halfway transfer: this is my half way transfer on my mission. WUT IS LYFE. idk but it's cray. so sista peel and i are both staying here obvi and then we got a new dl! elder hubner. he's chill so it will be a fun transfer.

2. awkward life: okay so we were doing service at the elder's gator's house and she wanted to say a prayer with us so we go to fold our arms and she's like "no no no we gotta hold hands!" and i was sitting next to my dl and i was like uhhhhhhhhhhhhh can i not or? lol so ya i held my dl's hand. it's whatever. #disobedient #JK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

teaching:

1. heather: we went over the resto with her. she remembered a lot of it. she had a lot of questions about the priesthood, which was cool. we invited her to pray to know about the bom again :) i totally know that once she knows it's true, she'll progress so fast.

2. alleyna: we watched the resto dvd with them and they loved it! the spirit was definitely there. we invited alleyna and also her mom and sister to pray about teh bom :) that's the first step! so hopefully we can start making good progress with all of them!

3. sherri: we are starting to read the bom with her every week and i think that's going to be the key for her... reading and knowing the bom is true so that everything else can fall into place. she totally loves the bom and is totally gonna accept the gospel one day eeeep!

so ya this week was super good! i love being a missionary so much. it's truly the greatest thing i have ever done in my life. i'm so grateful everyday for everything i'm able to learn and humbled at how much the Lord truly does for us each and every day.

hi people.

this week was good!

highlights:

1. arianna's baptism: OH MY IT WAS SO GOOD! she was so excited all day haha she changed into her jumpsuit and was like jumping all over the place! she was pumped. YUS! it was such a great baptism, too. her whole family came and supported her which was cool. I know it made her feel good! kid baptisms are so special because you know that they are making this decision solely because they feel it is the right thing to do. i love it!

2. betty crocker, basically: we made these super good things. you take two oreos and put peanut butter in between them and then put brownie mix overtop that and bake it. u r welcome. just go try it.

3. transfers: sister peel and i are both staying! #backatit wuttup! i'm super excited to stay in danville. so grateful! i love it here!

teaching:

1. ramelia: so here's a cool story. so on wednesday at coordination our WML told us about this family that lives in some apartments by ours. he said that he was wanting to introduce them to the church. so on thursday we decided to tract some of those apartments. we had no idea which one she lived it and there were like 50 to choose from hahaha but we just started at one end and ended up tracting into her! like WHAT! such a miracle.

2. abrion: she is going through a lot right now. we talked with her about God's love and assured her that He is with her always. she needs the gospel so badly!

it was a great week. and we're excited for this next week, too! something that i've been thinking about this week is:

HAVE CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF AND GOD AND MIRACLES WILL HAPPEN.

it's so true. trust me!

hi fam!

this week was so good oh my. probs like one of the best weeks on my mission! i'm not joking!

highlights:

1. temple: I GOT TO GO TO THE TEMPLE! it was the greatest. it was kinda crazy bc we had to pick up a sister in Mattoon, which made it like a 5 hour drive. #worthittho we had to be in the chapel at 12 and we got there at like 11:45 but we made it :) the session was just so peaceful. i was loving it. it was such a blessing to not have to think about anything for a little bit. i also got to see some of my bffs so that's fun. now i get to wait 5 more months to go again haha all of you who can go to the temple whenever, GO! take advantage of it. i never realized how much i love/need the temple until i couldn't go as often as i wanted to.

2. conference: okay can we just all take a minute and talk about how amazing conference was??????????? like hello... can that be more than twice a year or... we watched every session at a members house. it was so great. they fed us and everything :) conference is like christmas as a missionary! i had too many favorite talks. i super loved president uchtdorf's, elder holland's, and elder snow's. but i loved the all!

teaching:

1. larry: we started the pos with him! he really liked it! we used bible and book of mormon verses and he liked that too. oh man he literally knows it is TRUE. i can totally tell he's prepared bc he eats our lessons up. oh man it's so cool! and then in his closing prayer he was thanking Heavenly Father for giving us the truth on the earth :) aye wassupppp. he finna be dunked.

2. arianna: she's getting baptized this sunday! eeeep! so pumped!

3. bobbi: our NEW! whattup! she was a potential... we taught her about the bom and she had a lot of questions. she said she would read the intro and then we are meeting with her tomorrow to talk more about why we study it along with the bible! we're pumped!

4. heather: she is a la's caretaker we are teaching! we read the bom intro and 1 nephi 1 with her and invited her to p2k (pray to know lolol) about the bom! she is so prepared! her desire to know is there and she is sincere, too. once she gets her answer, she will progress so fast!

my favorite quote from conference comes from elder holland:

"the great thing about the gospel is that we get credit for trying."

it's sooo true! don't give up if you feel like you're fallen down. KEEP GOING!
